Isis start-up TheySay is to work alongside Autonomy and Okana to provide a data- and sentiment-analysis solution to the UK’s Care Quality Commission. The information system is co-ordinated by QinetiQ.

QinetiQ is enabling the Care Quality Commission to analyse the opinions expressed by thousands of service users and Care Quality Commission assessors and inspectors about the performance of health and social care providers through the introduction of the new information system.

TheySay was spun out from the Isis Software Incubator with a £500,000 investment from IP Group in February 2012. It is based on Oxford-developed Natural Language Processing software which builds on a deep understanding of linguistics to detect and measure sentiments, opinions, and emotions in text.
